DDJR Productions & DualShot Recorder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

DDJR Productions LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website ddjrproductions.com and the DualShot Recorder mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website or use our app.

1. DualShot Recorder App

DualShot Recorder is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app records video locally on your device, and all recordings remain entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, or store your video content, audio, recording history, or general usage analytics.

The sections below describe the limited, specific data interactions the app relies on in order to function.

1a. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

As of version 3.0, DualShot Recorder offers optional paid subscription tiers (Basic and Advanced) alongside a free tier. Purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. We never see your payment information.

When you subscribe, restore purchases, or launch the app, the following flows occur:

1b. iCloud Synchronization

If you are a grandfathered legacy user, the app writes a single non-personal flag indicating your legacy-access status to your personal iCloud Key-Value Store. This flag exists only so that your grandfathered access follows you across your own Apple devices (for example, when you install DualShot Recorder on a new iPhone).

This flag is stored in your iCloud account, controlled by you, and visible only to the DualShot Recorder app on your own devices. We cannot read your iCloud data and do not interact with any other part of it. You can clear this flag at any time by deleting the app or signing out of iCloud for DualShot Recorder in your device settings.

1c. Local Settings and Preferences

DualShot Recorder stores your app settings — such as resolution, frame rate, file format, camera assignment, onboarding status, and subscription entitlement cache — locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. These preferences never leave your device.

1d. On-Device Diagnostics

To help us resolve support requests, the app maintains a small, session-only in-memory log of recent subscription-verification attempts (for example, whether an entitlement check succeeded or encountered a network error). This log is kept in the device's RAM only — never written to disk, never uploaded — and is wiped every time the app is closed.

If you open a support request by tapping Settings → Copy Diagnostics, the app assembles a plain-text summary of this log along with your build version, iOS version, locale, and current subscription tier, and places it on your device's clipboard. This text leaves your device only if you choose to paste it into an email, message, or document yourself. We never receive it automatically.

1e. Camera, Microphone, and Photos Access

DualShot Recorder requires access to your device's cameras, microphone, and Photos library solely to perform its core function: recording dual-lens video and saving the resulting files to your device. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server or third party.

1f. Disk Space Access

DualShot Recorder checks your device's available storage before and during recording to prevent data loss from insufficient space. This information is used solely for the in-app storage indicator and is never transmitted or stored externally.

2. Website Analytics & Meta Pixel

Our website at ddjrproductions.com uses the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel), a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Meta Pixel collects anonymous browsing data when you visit our site, including pages viewed, referring URLs, and general device information.
